Information regarding Make-up Days for school cancelled due to weather
A modified school day will be held on two Saturdays, April 12th and April 26th from 8 a.m. to 12 noon for all 6th – 12th grade students. Each class will run for 35 minutes with 5 minutes to change classes. No lunch or break will be served. Lower School students will not attend on these days, but will have assignments to complete. Lower School faculty will report for staff development/in-service.
In an effort to maximize instructional time for the remainder of the 2013-2014 school year, George Walton Academy will also implement the following plan to recover class time cancelled due to bad weather:
• The Anchor Club spring blood drive, originally scheduled for April 15, has been cancelled.
• National Honor Society and Beta Club initiations, originally scheduled during class time, will be held during break.
• AP teachers will schedule additional time with their classes as needed.
Any concerns should be addressed directly with the appropriate principal.
